About the Artist
mcafee.design is Michael McAfee: artist and designer — blurring the line between hand-drawn techniques and modern CGI.
My work is a subset of a larger project called Polymorphic: a psychedelic universe inhabited by surreal creatures with unconventional methods of locomotion and enigmatic behaviors. Set on the Martian landscape of an unknown celestial object located within the Messier 81 galaxy.
My art has been featured 4 times on the front page of Reddit, broadcasted across massive LED screens in Tokyo, and painted in mural form against the concrete walls of Chicago. I work with companies such as Adult Swim & Google, and with Grammy-nominated artists such as Tycho & Holly.
